Software for restaurant operators who need clarity, not more noise.

M.I.K.E. Solutions is a founder-led software company based in Yaletown, Vancouver. We build practical systems shaped by 7+ years of restaurant experience in Japan and Canada, with Kitchen Pilot in live beta and Legacy Builder in development.

Built from lived operational pressure, not borrowed theory.

M.I.K.E. Solutions is an independent software company based in Yaletown, Vancouver, BC, Canada. The company exists to build tools that respect how operators actually work: under time pressure, with incomplete information, and very little patience for software that adds admin instead of removing it.

That point of view is not abstract. It comes from 7+ years of restaurant industry experience across Japan and Canada. The result is a founder-led company with a narrow scope, strong opinions about usability, and a bias toward systems that are clear, legible, and useful on real operating days.

We are small on purpose. Strategy, product thinking, and implementation stay close together so the work can remain practical and accountable.

Why M.I.K.E. Solutions

Too much business software turns operators into unpaid data clerks.

M.I.K.E. Solutions exists to push in the opposite direction: less manual re-entry, less operational fog, and more time spent on decisions that actually move the business.

M.I.K.E. stands for Management Intelligence & Knowledge Engine — a name that reflects the kind of company we are trying to build: one that turns lived operational knowledge into clearer management decisions.

  • 01

    Start with the real bottleneck.

We begin with the work that steals time, margin, or visibility from operators, then design from there.
  • 02

Use AI to remove work, not create theater.

If automation makes the system harder to trust, it does not belong in the product yet.
  • 03

    Keep the interface legible.

Operators do not need more dashboards. They need the next right piece of information, presented clearly.
  • 04

    Earn trust with specificity.

No invented logos, no inflated milestones, no vague “innovation” language standing in for substance.

Two product tracks, one standard of usefulness.

M.I.K.E. Solutions currently operates across two product directions. One is a live beta for restaurant operations. The other is a developing resource layer for independent founders building with limited time and budget.

Live Beta

Kitchen Pilot

See where profit is made — before the month is over.

Kitchen Pilot reduces the manual work that usually happens after service. By combining sales, purchasing, labour, and recipe cost data into one operating view, it helps restaurant owners understand daily profitability without rebuilding the numbers by hand every night.

It also makes granular costing more practical. Once recipes and purchasing data are in place, operators no longer need to recalculate every ingredient and condiment line by line just to understand margin. Not every variable can be captured perfectly — carry-over inventory, staff meals, and development usage still require human judgment — but the system makes cost visibility dramatically more usable in day-to-day operations.

Current status: pre-revenue, seeking first paying customers and strong early operator feedback.

  • Sales, labour, and purchasing in one view
  • Granular recipe costing without spreadsheet sprawl
  • Built for operational reality, not idealized data

In Development

Legacy Builder

Systems, playbooks, and operational intelligence for independent founders.

Legacy Builder is the company's second product line and remains in development. It is intended to package practical operating knowledge into guides, templates, and automation-ready resources for small business owners.

Current status: in development, with focus on useful systems rather than a volume-first content layer.

  • Operational guides and templates for independent operators
  • Automation playbooks and workflow structure
  • Financial literacy and founder systems
  • Resource architecture designed for long-term reuse
